Rose Quartz Rollers - Are they all they are cracked up to be??

Updated: Jan 8, 2021

You may have seen these advertised and wondered what they are and whether the are worth getting to use at home. Here is what I think about them, what the benefits are and would I recommend them.

A little about how it feels first... it is so cooling when applied to your skin, it actually makes your skin feel refreshed and feels as though it is soothing straight away. They are super easy to use and have some really good benefits.

But what about those eye bags, can we use a rose quartz roller on those too?

Yes, absolutely. In fact they are fantastic for under your eyes. The rose quartz roller remains cool unlike the jade rollers which tend to warm as you use them, therefore the cooling effect will help reduce any puffiness and encourage the skin to look brighter. I don't know about you but that HAS to be a win in my book, right?

Now the technical stuff. The crystal emits a vibration which releases tension, calms inflammation and encourages skin cell renewal, bringing oxygen to the skin hence improving tone and glow.

How should you use a rose quartz roller?

To make the whole treatment easier and more luxurious, first cleanse your skin thoroughly, then apply a cream or oil based serum (one that takes a while to soak in to your skin is better). This will help the roller glide over your skin easier. You should not apply any pressure at all. Just simply glide the roller over the skin so that its only just touching. The roller should not drag or pull on the skin.

Take a look at this diagram. Moving the roller in the direction of the arrows will help with lymphatic drainage by moving any toxins to the lymph glands so that they can be dispersed in the correct way instead of sitting under your skin causing you problems. In turn, this will aid the detoxification process leaving your skin looking and feeling so much healthier. Toxins which 'hang around' under the skins surface can make your skin look unhealthy, puffy or swollen, so by using the roller regularly as part of your weekly skincare routine will not only help make your skin appear brighter and firmer, but also reduce any puffiness and give you more contoured definition.

Who would benefit from using a rose quartz roller?

Anyone really, but if you suffer with puffiness especially under the eyes these will be a fantastic buy.

Here's a quick link to one which I would recommend. If you have any questions about these or other facial rollers, please do not hesitate to leave a comment below or if you would like me to review any similar items, let me know. Perhaps you already use a facial roller - I'd love to know what you think of yours
